GYPSY & ORCHESTRA
Gypsy Jazz or Jazz Manouche, typical of Gypsy bands, was born and developed thanks to a very important figure of the last century: Django Reinhardt, a unique guitarist in his style.
Great were the exponents who have made this jazz style great and important all over the world, one among all… Duke Ellington.
That rhythmic virtuosity, those arpeggios typical of the American swing of the 1930s, are retraced in this production with the unprecedented accompaniment of the symphony orchestra, arranged by Alfonso Girardo.
To make the most of the ‘gypsy’ component of Reinhardt’s swing, Stochelo Rosenberg, the direct heir of the great Belgian guitarist, takes care of it, who, with the continuous and blocked rhythm of Salvatore Russo and Camillo Pace, make this music a truly unique product .
